Thierno Youm, better known as Titi Camara, was a Guinean professional footballer who played as a striker for several European clubs and the Guinean national team.
Club Career
Camara's club career took him to some of the most prestigious clubs in Europe, including Saint-Étienne, Lens, Marseille, Liverpool, and West Ham United. He made a significant impact at Liverpool, scoring a memorable goal against West Ham just hours after his father's death. Despite his limited playing time at Liverpool, he remains a fan favorite and was voted 91st out of 100 Players Who Shook The Kop by Liverpool supporters.
International Career
Camara was a regular for the Guinea national team, participating in the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations.
Coaching Career
After retiring from playing, Camara pursued a coaching career. On June 10, 2009, he was appointed head coach of the Guinea national team. However, his tenure was short-lived, and he was dismissed on September 15, 2009, and replaced by Mamadi Souaré.
