Early Life and Football Career
Trifon Ivanov, a former Bulgarian football player, is considered by some to be one of the best defenders in Bulgaria. He began his football career in Veliko Tarnovo, playing for the club "Etire". Ivanov went on to play for clubs in Bulgaria, Spain, Switzerland, and Austria. He achieved the most success while playing for Sofia's CSKA, where he became a two-time Bulgarian champion, and for Rapid Vienna, where he reached the final of the Cup Winners' Cup in 1996 in Brussels. Ivanov ended his career in the summer of 2001 at the small club FAK in Vienna.

Post-Football Career and Passing
After retiring from football, Ivanov pursued a career in the petrol station business in his hometown of Veliko Tarnovo. Unfortunately, he passed away on February 13, 2016, due to a heart attack. Prior to his passing, doctors had advised Ivanov to lose weight and eliminate unhealthy habits.

International Career
Ivanov made his debut for the Bulgarian national team in 1988 and went on to become one of its key players. He participated in the 1994 World Cup, Euro 1996, and the 1998 World Cup. In the qualifying match for the 1998 World Cup in Sofia, Ivanov scored the decisive goal against the Russian national team, thanks to a pass from Hristo Stoichkov, which secured Bulgaria's place in the tournament.
