Adam Cieślar: Polish Nordic Combined Skier

Early Career and FIS Competitions

Adam Cieślar began his sporting journey in FIS ski jumping competitions before transitioning to Nordic combined. He participated in five junior world championships, achieving a peak result of 5th place in the 2010 team event and twice finishing 7th in individual races.

Debut in Adult World Championships

In 2011, Cieślar made his debut in the adult world championships in Oslo, Norway. In the normal hill and 10km race, he placed 42nd, while in the large hill and 10km race, he finished 46th.

World Cup Debut and Consistent Participation

Cieślar's World Cup debut came in 2009 in Vikersund, Norway. He has been a regular on the World Cup circuit, and on four occasions, he has managed to finish in the points.

University Games Achievements

Cieślar is a four-time champion and silver medalist in the Winter Universiade. He has won in various individual and team events.

Olympic Debut in Sochi 2014

In 2014, Adam Cieślar represented Poland at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. In the normal hill event, he placed 42nd, improving to 39th overall after a 35th-place finish in the cross-country race. In the large hill and 10km event, he started off in 32nd place but dropped to 37th after the cross-country portion.
