Ahmed Kurbanov: A Biography
Ahmed Kurbanov is a professional football player from Russia and Azerbaijan. He was born on June 1, 1985, and he has made a name for himself in the world of football through his skills and dedication to the sport.
Early Life and Career
Kurbanov was raised in Dagestan, Russia, where he first started playing football. He showed great potential from a young age and was eventually recruited by the youth academy of the Mahachkala-based football club, Anzhi. In June 2001, Kurbanov joined the club's reserve team, where he played in the youth championships and gained valuable experience.
In the 2001 season, Kurbanov made his debut in the reserve team's matches and played a total of three games. However, he received a red card during one of these matches. The following season, he played in 19 matches but failed to score any goals.
Club Career
In 2005, Kurbanov transferred to the Kamyshin-based club, Tekstilshchik, where he played four matches in the Second Division. After his stint at Tekstilshchik, he moved to Baku and played for the club Olimpik from 2005 to 2006.
In August 2006, Kurbanov was officially registered with Dagdizel, a club from the city of Kaspiysk. However, negotiations were also underway with Shahdag, a club from the town of Gusar, for a potential contract with Kurbanov. In the 2006/07 offseason, he moved to MKT-Araz in Imishli.
In 2007, Kurbanov was included in the roster of the amateur league team Arsenal Tula. He continued his football journey and rejoined Dagdizel in the summer of 2008.
International Career
As a player for Shahdag in 2002, Kurbanov represented the Azerbaijani youth national team and successfully advanced to the second qualifying round of the European Championship. In February 2007, while playing for MKT-Araz, he was called up to the national under-21 team under the guidance of the new coach, Shakir Garibov.
