Early Life and Education
Akram Dzhuraev was born in 1942 in Stalinbad, Tajikistan. His passion for physics led him to pursue a degree in Physics and Mathematics from the Tajik State University in 1964. During his undergraduate years, he completed his diploma thesis on "Neutron Radiation of Natural Materials."
Academic Career
After graduating, Dzhuraev joined the U. Umarov Institute of Physics and Technology of the Tajik Academy of Sciences. In 1968, he embarked on his postgraduate studies at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia. His doctoral dissertation, entitled "Depolarization of Negative Muons in Condensed Molecular Media," earned him a doctorate in 1974.
Research and Development
Dzhuraev's research focused on the application of nuclear physics to practical problems. He developed neutron activation methods for analyzing noble and rare earth metals in geological samples and industrial products. His expertise in nuclear physics led him to design and construct numerous setups for various fields of application.
Collaborations and Publications
In 2009, Dzhuraev collaborated with I. Bobodzhanov to publish the book "Muons, Nuclei, Substance." This publication highlighted his understanding of the interactions between muons, nuclei, and matter.
Legacy
