Albano Andrade: One of the World's Oldest Living Brothers

Albano Andrade, a Portuguese supercentenarian, along with his younger brother Alberto Andrade, holds the Guinness World Record for being one of the oldest living pairs of brothers in the world.

Early Life and Family Heritage

Born on December 14, 1909, in San Miguel de Souto, Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal, Albano Andrade grew up in a family with a history of longevity. His mother lived to be 96, while his father reached the age of 95. One of his nephews (his eldest sister's son) passed away at 101, and another nephew will turn 100 in 2020.

Oldest Living Portuguese Citizen

Albano became the oldest known living person in Portugal after the death of Manuel Rodrigues Orta at the age of 108 in August 2016. As of April 2, 2019, Albano and Alberto were 109 and 107 years old, respectively, living in Santa Maria da Feira, Portugal. Their combined age was an astounding 216 years and 230 days.

Shared Life and Milestones

Throughout their lives, Albano and Alberto have lived in the family home in Portugal. In December 2020, Albano celebrated his 111th birthday, while Alberto turned 109. Together, they continue to inspire and amaze people worldwide with their remarkable longevity.
