Biography of Alberto Marani

Alberto Marani is an Italian fashion designer known for his luxurious and feminine clothing designs. He is also recognized for his work as an artistic director, stylist, and designer for popular brands such as 'Sanei' in Japan and 'Balmain' in Paris.

Originally, Marani had aspirations of becoming an architect, inspired by his father's friendship with renowned French architect Le Corbusier. Growing up, Marani was captivated by the beauty and precision of architecture, but his interests eventually shifted towards fashion.

In 1993, Marani moved to Paris to pursue his education at the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. He later secured a position at the prestigious fashion house of Christian Dior, where he had the opportunity to work alongside creative director Gianfranco Ferre. After four years at Dior, Marani decided to establish his own clothing line.

His initial collection of knitted garments was met with tremendous success, quickly selling out in the finest European fashion boutiques. Marani's designs were characterized by their delicate fabrics and meticulous attention to detail. The perfect combination of materials, colors, and proportions made his creations highly coveted.

Today, Marani's collection has expanded to include over 50 luxurious designs. In the autumn of 2007, he introduced a new line called 'M/Marani,' featuring more casual and comfortable everyday wear.
