At the age of six, Ariana was attacked by three muggle boys who witnessed her performing magic. The incident left her traumatized and unable to control her powers. To protect Ariana from being institutionalized at St. Mungo's Hospital, the family concealed the details of her condition. However, Percival sought revenge for Ariana's shattered life and was sentenced to a lifetime in Azkaban.

The Dumbledores then moved to the quiet village of Godric's Hollow, where their wizard neighbors assumed that Ariana was a squib, a non-magical person from a magical family.

Education and Hogwarts Years

Albus was sorted into Gryffindor House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He proved to be an excellent student and earned numerous awards and accolades. However, after the death of his mother, Albus took on the responsibility of caring for his brother and sister.

This burden infuriated the young Dumbledore, who had dreams of a great future and had shared those dreams with another talented wizard, Gellert Grindelwald. In a tragic turn of events during a heated argument between Albus, Aberforth, and Grindelwald, a stray spell killed Ariana. This moment served as a turning point for Albus and fueled his transformation into the great wizard we know and love.

Role in the Wizarding World

Throughout most of the series, Dumbledore serves as the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He later reveals that he founded the Order of the Phoenix, an organization dedicated to fighting Lord Voldemort, the main antagonist of the series. Many of Harry's parents' friends and older acquaintances are members of the Order.

Despite his advanced age, Dumbledore has young and bright blue eyes that sparkle with kindness and humor. However, if truly angered, he radiates an aura of cold fury that rivals Voldemort's evil. Dumbledore is the only wizard whom Voldemort truly fears.

He wears half-moon-shaped glasses and long robes in vibrant colors, always showcasing his love for eccentricity. The most powerful wizard in the world of Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore embodies the wisdom of Merlin and the kindness and compassion of Gandalf. He may appear eccentric at times because he speaks directly and clearly, eschewing formalities. Dumbledore possesses a unique sense of humor and a deep understanding of human nature, rarely making mistakes when it comes to judging people.

He believes that love is the greatest power in the world, surpassing any magic, and frequently reminds Harry of this. Despite his numerous talents and achievements, Dumbledore is devoid of arrogance or pretentiousness. He is humble, kind-hearted, and genuinely benevolent towards others.

Overall, Albus Dumbledore's life is marked by a tragic family history, personal growth, and his unwavering dedication to fighting against evil in the wizarding world.
