José Luis Bobadilla

Early Life and Club Career

Born in Asunción, José Luis Bobadilla began his professional football career in 1997 with Club Cerro Porteño. He remained with the Paraguayan club until 2005 when he joined Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in Argentina. After making 19 appearances for the Argentine side, he returned to Paraguay to play for Libertad.

Argentinian and Colombian Stints

In mid-2006, Bobadilla transferred to Boca Juniors in Argentina. He later joined Deportivo Independiente Medellín in Colombia in September 2007.

Return to Brazil and Paraguay

In July 2010, after serving as a backup goalkeeper for Paraguay at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Bobadilla signed with Corinthians in Brazil. He returned to his native country after six months, signing a two-year contract with Olimpia.

Paraguay National Team

Bobadilla has represented Paraguay's national team since 1999. He has appeared in numerous international competitions, including two FIFA World Cups.
