Alexey Fedorov - Partisan, Hero of the Soviet Union
Alexey Fedorov was a Ukrainian national and a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union since 1927. He was an active participant in the Civil War and was elected as the first secretary of the Chernigov Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1938. When the Great Patriotic War began, Fedorov chose to stay behind enemy lines, following the decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. He initially served as the secretary of the Chernigov underground regional committee and later the Volyn underground regional committee.
Fedorov's partisan squads and units carried out a series of daring operations behind enemy lines. On May 18, 1942, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. In April 1943, he was promoted to the rank of Major General, and on January 4, 1944, he was awarded the "Gold Star" medal for the second time. Fedorov was also awarded numerous orders and medals for his bravery and leadership.

Alexey Fedorov, a Ukrainian by nationality, became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1927. He actively participated in the Civil War and was elected as the first secretary of the Chernigov Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1938. As the war broke out, Fedorov decided to remain in enemy territory, following the decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine. He initially served as the secretary of the Chernigov underground regional committee and later the Volyn underground regional committee.
Fedorov's courageous leadership and his partisan squads and units carried out several bold operations behind enemy lines. In recognition of his bravery and achievements, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union on May 18, 1942. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in April 1943, and on January 4, 1944, he was awarded the "Gold Star" medal for the second time. Fedorov's valor and leadership were honored with many other orders and medals.
After the war, Fedorov studied at the Academy of Social Sciences under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Currently, he resides in Kiev and serves as the Minister of Social Security of the Ukrainian SSR. He was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for the seventh, eighth, and ninth convocations. Fedorov is also the author of the book "Underground Committee Acts".
