Early Life and Family Beginnings
Alexey Ilyin was born into a renowned acting dynasty. His grandfather, Adolf Ilyin, was a celebrated actor known for his role as the dashing major in "Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha." His grandmother, Nelly Ilyina-Gutsol, also appeared in the same film. His father, Alexander Ilyin, starred in "Oysters from Lausanne" and "Russian Riot." His uncle, Vladimir Ilyin, is known for his roles in "Turkish Gambit" and "I Want to Go to Prison."
Education and Theatrical Debut
Despite his difficult childhood and academic struggles, Alexey discovered his passion for acting at a young age. At age six, he made his stage debut in the play "Lizard" with his grandfather at the Mayakovsky Theater, where his father also performed. He excelled in theater school, and at age fifteen, he made his cinematic debut in the TV series "Minor Details."
Training and Breakthrough
Alexey chose to pursue acting at the Shchukin Theater School, where he was noticed and cast as Lesha Burundukov in the popular TV series "Simple Truths." After graduating from Shchukin, he landed leading roles in "FM and the Guys" and "Three Against All."
Military Service and Return to Acting
Alexey's acting career was interrupted by military service at the Theater of the Russian Army. During this time, he also appeared in films such as "Nonservice Assignment" and "New Year is Canceled." In 2004, he was invited to star in the TV series "Carmelita" by Rauf Kubayev, with whom he had previously worked on "Three Against All."
Recent Work
One of Alexey's most notable recent roles was as Vasya Sofronov in Vitaly Vorobyov's "Confrontation," which tells the story of the liquidation of a Vlasov gang in Moldova. Alexey has continued to build a successful acting career, showcasing his talent and versatility across various platforms.
