Fabian's Early Football Career

Fabian began his football journey in the youth academies of various clubs before landing at Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2004. In 2008, he signed with Gladbach's reserve team, where he remains a player to this day.

Debut for the Reserve Team

On September 21, 2008, Fabian made his debut for the reserve team in an away match against FC Schalke 04 II. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, and Fabian entered the field in the 58th minute, replacing Cengiz Khan. In his first season with the reserves, he appeared in 13 matches and scored two goals.

Promotion to the Main Squad

In the 2009/10 season, Fabian emerged as a key player for the reserve team, making 27 appearances and scoring five goals. Impressively, he also began training with the main squad during the winter break.

Bundesliga Debut and Goal

Fabian's Bundesliga debut came on January 16, 2010, in a home match against VfL Bochum. Although Gladbach lost the match 2-1, Fabian entered the game in the 63rd minute, replacing Moses Lamidi. He went on to score his first Bundesliga goal in the 80th minute. Overall, he played in two Bundesliga matches during his first season.
