Biography of Alexander Bondarchuk
Alexander Bondarchuk is a Ukrainian politician who was born on September 30, 1957 in Bogodukhov, Kharkiv Oblast. He graduated from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute with a specialization in Aircraft Engineering in 1980.
Early Career
From 1980 to 1984, Bondarchuk worked as an engineer-designer at the Kiev Mechanical Plant. He then served in the military from 1984 to 1986. Following his military service, he worked as an engineer-designer at the Antonov Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex from 1987 to 1998.
Political Career
In April 1998, Bondarchuk began his political career as a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representing the Communist Party of Ukraine (KPU) in the 3rd convocation. He served as a member of the Committee on Social Policy and Labor and was a member of the KPU faction.
In April 2002, he was re-elected to the Verkhovna Rada for the 4th convocation, still representing the KPU. Bondarchuk became the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Social Guarantees, Living standards, and the Return of Citizens' Savings within the Committee on Social Policy and Labor. He continued to be a member of the KPU faction.
