Biography of Alexander Chernomorov

Alexander Chernomorov is a political and public figure in Crimea and Ukraine, as well as a participant in the Russian national movement and entrepreneur. He was born on May 20, 1953, in Leningrad, RSFSR.

Education and Military Service

In 1976, Chernomorov graduated from the Ulyanovsk Higher Military-Technical School with a degree in chemical technology of oil and gas processing. From 1972 to 1976, he served as a cadet at the Ulyanovsk Higher Military-Technical School, and from 1976 to 1991, he served in the Armed Forces.

Professional Career

After leaving the military, Chernomorov held various positions in different organizations. From 1991 to 1993, he was the director of a small enterprise called "Tareya" in Norilsk. He then served as the deputy general director of the Association of Peasant, Farmer, and Artisanal Farms "Taimyr" in Dudinka from 1993 to 1994.

In 1994, Chernomorov became the deputy director of a small enterprise called "TOR" and the commercial director of the Association "Yalta-Tourtorgservice" in Yalta. From 1995 to 1996, he worked as the head of the privatization department at the Property Fund of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He then became the head of the economic management sector at the Yalta City Council from 1996 to 1998.

In 1998, Chernomorov worked as an economic consultant for the small enterprise "TOR" in Yalta. He later became the director of the company "Rossiyane" from 1998 to 2000 and a representative for the southern region of the Commission for Commemorating the Victims of Wars and Repressions under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine from 2000 to 2001.

Since 2002, Chernomorov has been the chairman of the Russian Movement of Crimea and served as a deputy of the Crimean Parliament from 2002 to 2006. From 2003 to 2006, he held the position of head of the Department of External Relations and Investments in the Executive Committee of the Yalta City Council.

Awards and Political Affiliations

Chernomorov has been awarded the "For Impeccable Service" medals of the second and third degrees. He is also the chairman of the Crimean Republican Organization of the "Russian Bloc" party. In the parliamentary elections of 2006, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine representing the Party of Regions.
