Biography of Alexander Feduta
Early Life and EducationAlexander Feduta is a Belarusian literary critic and political scientist. He graduated from the Philology Faculty of Grodno State University in 1986 and worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature from 1986 to 1991.
Political Career
In 1991, Feduta was elected Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of Belarus (LKSM). He held this position until 1992 when the LKSM transformed into the Youth Union of Belarus. In 1994, he became a member of the election headquarters of Alexander Lukashenko, the current President of Belarus. Following Lukashenko's victory, Feduta became the Head of the Department of Public and Political Information at the Belarusian President's Administration.
Journalism and Opposition
In early 1995, Feduta switched to the opposition and began working as a journalist for several non-state newspapers including "Belorusskaya Delovaya Gazeta," "Moskovskie Novosti," "Imya," and "Narodnaya Volya." He specializes in the genre of political portraits and has published numerous opinion articles in both print and electronic media in Belarus.
Academic Achievements
In 1997, Feduta obtained his Ph.D. in Philology with a dissertation on "The Problem of the Reader in the Creative Consciousness of A.S. Pushkin." He has contributed to the field of literary criticism and is considered an expert in analyzing the role of the reader in literary works.
