Early Life and Career
Born in Ukraine, Oleksandr Horodniuk began his footballing journey at the DUSSHOR "Podillia" in Khmelnytskyi, under the guidance of coach Mykola Hrynevych. In 1990, he joined the prestigious DUSSHOR "Dynamo" in Kyiv, where he honed his skills as a goalkeeper.
Professional Playing Career
After graduating from DUSSHOR "Dynamo," Horodniuk embarked on a professional playing career. He represented several Ukrainian and Russian clubs, including Boryspil, CSKA-Borysfen, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, Chernomorets Novorossiysk, Chernomorets Odessa, and Volyn. In the summer of 2005, he joined Metalist Kharkiv, followed by stints with Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk and Podillia. In 2007, he signed for Krymteplytsia.
International Experience
Horodniuk earned two caps for Ukraine's junior national team.Coaching Career
After retiring from playing, Horodniuk transitioned into coaching. He served as goalkeeping coach for the Ukraine youth national team and several Ukrainian clubs, including Bukovyna, Vorskla, Krymteplytsia, and Zvezda.
Education and Personal Life
Horodniuk graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Physical Culture in 1999. He currently owns a private football school in Chernivtsi, Ukraine.
