Alexander Kostomolotsky was born on February 22, 1897, in Yekaterinoslav (present-day Dnipro, Ukraine). At the age of five, he moved with his family to Rostov-on-Don, where he spent his formative years. After graduating from high school in 1916, he embarked on his artistic career at the "Teatralnaya Masterskaya" theater in Rostov.

Theatrical Career

Kostomolotsky's theatrical journey began in the vibrant cultural landscape of Rostov. He served in the legendary Vakhtangov Theater, Meyerhold Theater, Theater of Revolution, and Mossovet Theater. Throughout his career, he showcased his exceptional talent as an actor, director, and set designer.
