Early Life and Career

In 1967, Volovik graduated from the Ufa Aviation Institute. He began his career as a worker at the age of 15.

Oil and Gas Industry

From 1967 to 1969, Volovik worked in the oil and gas industry in Sakhalin and the Tyumen Oblast. From 1969 to 1989, he held various positions in the "Yamburggazodobycha" production association, including master, trust manager, and deputy general director.

Founding of "BI-GAZ-SI"

In 1989, Volovik established the company "BI-GAZ-SI," an acronym for "Large Industry-GAS-Siberia."

Publications and Authorship

On May 1, 1993, Volovik and Alexander Semyonkov, a colleague from the Russian Economic Academy, published the book "Three Eras of the Stock Exchange in Russia" with a print run of 1,500 copies. The book examined the development and functioning of the securities market and stock exchanges, as well as the history of the stock exchange movement in Russia before and after the revolution.
