Aleksandr Mikhailovich Zadnieprovsky is a distinguished Soviet and Ukrainian actor of theater and cinema, born on June 12, 1953.
Education and Early Career
Zadnieprovsky graduated from the acting department of the Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television named after I.K. Karpenko-Kary in 1975. He was a student of the legendary actor and teacher Anatoliy Skibenko. After graduating, he joined the National Academic Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko, where he has been a staple for decades.
Family
Zadnieprovsky comes from a family of renowned Ukrainian actors. His father, Mikhail Alexandrovich Zadnieprovsky, was a People's Artist of Ukraine. His mother, Yulia Semyonovna Tkachenko, was also a People's Artist of Ukraine. Aleksandr's wife, Zoya Sivoch, is an actress at the Kyiv Young Theater. His son, Nazar Alexandrovich Zadnieprovsky, is a People's Artist of Ukraine.
Awards and Recognition
Throughout his illustrious career, Zadnieprovsky has received numerous awards and accolades. In 1995, he was bestowed the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. Three years later, in 1998, he received the prestigious title of People's Artist of Ukraine. In 2010, he was awarded the prestigious Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise, Fifth Class.
