Alexandra Konovalova: Ukrainian Paralympic Champion

Early Life and Career

Alexandra Mykolaivna Konovalova was born on February 27, 1991, in the village of Shevchenkovo, Ukraine. At the tender age of 12, she embarked on her sporting journey. Today, she trains under the guidance of Valeriy Kazakov and Anatoliy Zavedeev. Alexandra is fluent in both Russian and Ukrainian.

Paralympic Triumphs

Konovalova has achieved remarkable success at the Paralympic Games. In 2010, she claimed three gold medals in Vancouver: in the 1km and 5km cross-country skiing events, and in the 12.5km biathlon. She also secured a silver medal in the 3x2.5km cross-country relay.

Continued Dominance

Konovalova continued her winning streak at the 2014 Paralympic Games in Sochi. She earned another gold medal in the 12.5km biathlon, adding to her impressive collection.

State Honors

In recognition of her extraordinary achievements, Konovalova has been awarded numerous state honors. In 2014, she received the Order of Merit, Second Degree, and in 2010, she was honored with the Order of Merit, Third Degree.
