Alfio Basile, an Argentine football player and coach, is considered one of the most talented football coaches in the world. Despite frequent failures, he is a professional in his field and is capable of leading his team to the top of the championship.

Early Life and Playing Career

Alfio Basile was born on November 1, 1943, in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. He began his professional football career in 1964, playing for the team "Racing Avellaneda." In 1967, he won his first major prize, the Copa Libertadores, and also became the winner of the Intercontinental Cup. From 1971 to 1975, Basile played for the team "Huracán."

Coaching Career

In 1975, Basile decided to retire from the field and pursue a professional coaching career. His first sports club was "Chacarita Juniors," and in 1976, he became the coach of "Rosario Central." From 1977 to 1984, Basile constantly changed teams, coaching clubs such as "Racing Avellaneda," "Racing Córdoba," "Instituto," "Racing Córdoba," "Huracán," and "Talleres."

From 1984 to 1986, Alfio Basile served as the head coach of the team "Vélez Sarsfield." In 1986, he coached the players of the "Racing Avellaneda" club. In 1990, he trained the Uruguayan club "Nacional." From 1991 to 1994, he was the coach of the Argentine national team. In 1994, Basile moved to the Spanish club "Atlético Madrid," and in 1996, he coached the players of the Argentine "Racing Avellaneda."

From 1999, Alfio Basile became the coach of the Mexican national team "América." From 2005 to 2008, he coached the Argentine clubs "Boca Juniors" and "Argentina."
