Early Life and Education

Alisher Fayz (born Alisher Bakhodirovich Turdiev on January 27, 1984) hails from Chartak, Uzbekistan. Growing up in a musical family, he nurtured his talent from a young age and was known for his exceptional renditions of traditional Uzbek folk songs. In 1994, he enrolled in the Glier Republican Music Lyceum in the capital, specializing in the intricate art of playing the two-stringed Uzbek instrument, the dotar.

Musical Breakthrough

From 2001 to 2005, Fayz honed his skills at the Uzbekistan State Conservatory. During this time, he caught the attention of renowned Uzbek vocalist Ozobek Nazarbekov. Nazarbekov took Fayz under his wing and introduced him to professional performances, mentoring the young singer in the ways of traditional Uzbek music and vocalism. Fayz made his debut in 2005, performing the song "Meni Kechir" at Nazarbekov's solo concert.

Rise to Stardom

Adopting the stage name Fayz, which means "bountiful" in Uzbek, the singer released his first studio album, "Ko'ngil Istab," in 2007. With its infectious rhythms and youthful appeal, Fayz's music quickly gained popularity, making him a favorite for weddings and other festive occasions. By 2008, he had accumulated a loyal fan base and performed his first solo concert at the renowned Istiqlol Palace of Arts in Tashkent.

Solo Concerts and Recognition

May became a significant month for Fayz, as he established a tradition of hosting annual solo concerts at Istiqlol Palace. In subsequent years, he presented "Nigohingga Ol," "Senga Talpinib," and "Yaxshiyam Siz Bor," among others, showcasing his versatility and musical growth. In 2012, he was bestowed with the prestigious title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Tenth Anniversary and Beyond

To mark his tenth anniversary in 2017, Fayz organized a grand celebration at Istiqlol Palace, featuring an array of special guests, including Nazarbekov. He performed his most beloved hits, including "Asal Onam" and "Eslab Tur." Today, Fayz remains an active performer, continuously writing and composing new works. He has collaborated with other Uzbek stars such as Shahzoda, Bakhrom Nazarov, and Abror Tadzhiev, and has released numerous singles and albums.

Personal Life

Away from the spotlight, Fayz is a devoted husband and father of three children. He balances his professional and personal life with ease, emphasizing the importance of family and keeping his private matters separate from his work. An avid sports fan and collector of soccer balls, Fayz also enjoys cooking and is particularly fond of making the traditional Uzbek dish "kazan kabob."
