Early Life and Gymnastics Career

Alison Carroll was born in the United Kingdom on March 21, 1985. From the age of 7, she pursued gymnastics with the aspiration of becoming a physical education teacher, earning accolades and trophies for her performances. At age 12, she joined the Shirley Gymnasts club while continuing her education at High Edenham School.

Gymnastics Coaching and National Competitions

Upon graduating high school, Carroll obtained her coaching certification from the Acrobatics and Gymnastics Club. She began teaching junior gymnasts and choreographing routines for the youth team, which won the British National Championships. Carroll also participated in annual performances at gymnastics clubs, including the Edinburgh Festival, Inverness Festival, Liverpool British Championships, Cardiff Festival, London Festival, Birmingham Ministeriade, and Portugal World Ministeriade (representing Great Britain).

She represented Great Britain as a professional competitive gymnast at the annual Liverpool British Championships and performed before Prince Charles at a special event at Westminster Abbey. Additionally, she coached the youth team as they won the choreography division at the British National Gymnastics Championships.

Modeling and Advertising

Throughout 2006, Carroll appeared in over a dozen music videos. In 2007, she worked with Pepsi as a product ambassador and graced the covers of international magazines such as T3, Maxim, and Surfing Waves. She starred in a Pepsi advertisement and later the Camden Crawl ad campaign.

The Rise of Lara Croft

Carroll's breakthrough came in 2008 when she became the model for Lara Croft in the video game Tomb Raider: Underworld. She rose to global fame, attending various video game expositions as Lara and traveling to countries including Spain, Russia, and France.

Acting Career

In 2009, Carroll expanded her horizons to film. She made her acting debut in the British zombie comedy "Doghouse," released on June 12, 2009. That same year, she starred in the British film "Blood Art" as Detective Claire Jones, investigating a serial killer's unusual murder methods. She also appeared in "The Child" as Claire, the protagonist's childhood friend.

Upcoming Films and Secret Projects

Carroll has several upcoming films slated for release. These include "Amsterdam Heavy," in which she plays the exotic dancer and secret agent Monica; "The Football Factory Britain," where she portrays Debbi, a football hooligan; "Vengeance of the Banished," in which she stars as Jay Benedict, who struggles with conflicting forces; "Drowned Sorrow," as Jenna Blackwood, whose brother's suspicious death puts her in danger; and "Suburban War," where she fights for the survival of Earth and the universe.
