Alison Sweeney, born on September 19, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actress. Her most famous role is Samantha "Sami" Gene Brady in the American soap opera "Days of Our Lives" (1965 - 2008). Thanks to her character, Alison received four nominations for the Soap Opera Digest Awards and the Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award.
Early Life and Career
Alison Sweeney began her acting career on January 6, 1993, when she joined the cast of "Days of Our Lives." However, her television debut was at the age of five in a Kodak commercial. In the 90s, Alison Sweeney faced weight-related issues and had to wear size 12 clothing. Although she was considered healthy according to medical standards, she compared herself to her peers and struggled with self-esteem. In 2004, she candidly shared her struggles in her memoir, "All the Days of My Life."
Reality TV Appearance
In 2002, Alison Sweeney agreed to participate in an episode of the reality show "Fear Factor" on NBC. Her segment became memorable as she panicked while being locked in a cage with snakes, Madagascan cockroaches, and giant worms.
Personal Life
On July 8, 2000, Alison Sweeney married David Sanov, a California highway patrolman. On February 25, 2005, at 10:30 am, she gave birth to their son, Benjamin Edward Sanov.

Currently, Alison Sweeney resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Dave, who once appeared in "Days of Our Lives" as a police officer. She has been involved in various projects, including "St. Elsewhere" (TV series) (1982 - 1988), "Tales from the Darkside" (TV series) (1984 - 1988), "You Ruined My Life" (TV movie) (1987), "Price of Life" (1987), "Friends" (TV series) (1994 - 2004), "American Dreams" (TV series) (2002 - 2005), and "Las Vegas" (TV series) (2003 - 2008).
Currently, Sweeney is filming the fifth season of the TV show "The Biggest Loser," where she replaced Caroline Rhea on the set.
