Biography of Alison (Ali) Wagner

Alison "Ali" Wagner was born on August 10, 1980, in San Jose, California. She is a professional American athlete who competes in women's football. In 2008, she participated in the Olympic Games in Beijing. In the Wagner family, all the children are involved in sports. Her sister, Sam, plays for the California University team, while her brother, Jared, plays for the Santa Clara University football team. Ali Wagner started playing football in school and quickly became a leading player on her team.

College and International Career

After finishing school, Ali Wagner enrolled at Santa Clara University. She led the university team to top positions in the NCAA championship for several seasons. In 1998, she played her first international U-21 match against the Ukrainian team, and in 1999, she scored her first goal for the national team against Japan.

In 2001, she was named the Football Player of the Season and was a finalist for the Hermann Trophy and M.A.C. award. In 2002, she won the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, solidifying her position as the leading player in college. She is also the winner of the NCAA Top VIII Award.

During her second year at university, Ali Wagner suffered a serious injury, which forced her to miss eight important matches for the team. However, after recovering, she brought new strength and energy to the team, leading them to success once again. In 2002, Ali Wagner was selected to join the national football team. She participated in the Nordic Cup and played a key role in the U-21 team that won the cup in Germany in 2000.

Professional Career and Personal Life

In 2003, Ali Wagner started playing for the San Diego Spirit club. In December 2006, she married Adam Eir, a former football player from Santa Clara University. He currently plays for the New England Revolution in the highest league.

Ali Wagner leads a healthy lifestyle, preferring to consume only healthy food and abstain from alcoholic beverages. She constantly follows different diets to maintain her fitness level. In her free time from training and studying, Ali Wagner enjoys listening to music and reading books. Her favorite artist is Fiona Apple, and her favorite book is "Way of the Peaceful Warrior."
