Early Career

Sofiane Derbalis a Tunisian professional footballer who played as a defender. He began his career in Tunisia, representing clubs such as "Kairouan", "Espérance", "Olympique" (Béja), "La Goulette-Kram," and "As-Suehli" in Libya.

Move to Ukraine

In the summer of 2006, Derbal and his compatriot Hamdi Marzouki arrived at FC Kharkiv for a trial.However, only Derbal secured a contract. He made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on July 23, 2006, in a 2-2 draw against Zorya Luhansk.

Despite his debut, Derbal failed to establish himself in the team and returned to his homeland to join "Kairouan."

International Career

Derbal represented Tunisia at the youth and U23 levels.He also earned one cap for the Tunisian national team.

Achievements

Derbal won two Tunisian Championships (2000/01, 2001/02) and one Tunisian Super Cup (2001) during his time in Tunisia.
