Oleksandra Havrylyuk was born on May 8, 1934, in the rural village of Reizerove, Poltava Oblast, Ukraine. After graduating high school, she pursued further education at the Dnipropetrovsk Technical College of Cultural Education and subsequently the Kharkiv State Institute of Culture.

Professional Career

Havrylyuk held various positions throughout her career. She served as a librarian at the Kryvyi Rih City Library, head librarian at the House of Officers Library in Kaunas, Lithuania, and inspector at the Lykhovo District Department of Culture in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Her most significant role came as the Director-General of the National Library of Ukraine for Children.

As Director-General of the National Library of Ukraine for Children, Havrylyuk played a vital role in its development and modernization.
