Early Life and EducationAnastasia Bagrova (Smetanina) is a Russian theater and film actress. She was born on October 31, 1986, in Buguruslan, Orenburg Oblast. Her father served in the military, and her mother worked as a teacher. Anastasia also has a younger brother. In 2006, she successfully completed her education at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS).
Theater Career
After graduating, Anastasia began her career at the Moscow Regional Chamber Theater. Some of her notable roles included Malish in the play "Malish and Karlson," Chetvertak in "The Dawns Here Are Quiet," Vozhd in "The Leader of the Redskinned," and Dora in "Captain of the Sands."
Film Career and Breakthrough Role
Since 2009, Anastasia has actively pursued a career in film. However, her real fame came with her role as Bony in the gripping melodrama "Elephant," directed by Vladimir Karabanov and released in 2010. In the film, Anastasia's character embarks on a journey with Zarezin (Sergey Shnurov) to accompany a sick elephant to a clinic for euthanasia. Throughout this journey, numerous dramatic and touching events unfold, changing the perspectives and personalities of the main characters.

Anastasia Bagrova (Smetanina) stands at a height of 155 centimeters. In her personal life, she is in a relationship with actor Grigory Bagrov (born September 12, 1970). Despite the 16-year age difference, Anastasia revealed that she fell in love with Grigory when she saw him hosting the program "Visiting Fairy Tales" while she was still in school. Although they have not officially married, Anastasia has taken the surname Bagrova.
