Political Career

Coline Makoso is a Congolese politician who has served as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Congo since May 12, 2021. A member of the ruling Congolese Party of Labour (PCT), Makoso has held various ministerial positions, including Minister of Youth and Civic Education (2011-2015) and Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Youth, and Civic Education (2015-2016). He is also a former Deputy in the National Assembly of the Republic of Congo.

Early Life and Education

Born in Mbé, Republic of Congo, Makoso studied law at the Pantheon-Assas University in Paris. He also holds a Master's degree in International Relations from the Centre for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Paris and a doctorate in Law (2010).

Other Accomplishments

Before entering politics, Makoso worked as a teacher and political advisor. He is also a writer and poet, having published a collection of poems and stories dedicated to the late President Edith Lucy Bongo in 2009.

Personal Life

Makoso is married with four children.
