Vuijchytsky began his career as the Chairman of the "Druzhba" collective farm in the village of Bogatoe, Novoomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region. Under his leadership, the farm prospered, and he later transitioned to become the Director of the "Druzhba" agricultural society.

In 1989-1991, Vuijchytsky served as a People's Deputy of the USSR from the Novomoskovsk district of the Dnipropetrovsk region. During this time, he was a member of the Supreme Soviet's Committee on Agrarian Issues and Food. He also held the position of Deputy of the Novomoskovsk District Council.
