Biography of Andreas Herzog
Andreas Herzog is an Austrian football player and coach, known for his mastery of set-piece positions. He played for clubs in Germany and Austria and became a champion in both countries. He won the UEFA Cup and represented the Austrian national team in the World Cup. He is currently working as a budding coach.

Playing Career
Andreas Herzog made his debut in the 1986 season, playing for the Viennese club "Rapid". However, the following season, he moved to another local club, "First Vienna FC", where he played successfully. After a year, he returned to "Rapid", where he became a two-time champion of Austria. He then moved to Germany and joined "Werder Bremen" in 1992. In his first year with the team, they became champions of Germany, and two years later, they won the national cup.
In the 1995/1996 season, Herzog played for "Bayern Munich" and helped the team win the UEFA Cup. He then returned to "Werder Bremen" and continued to play for the club until 2001, winning the German Cup in 1999. In the 2002-2003 season, Herzog played for his hometown club, "Rapid", and the following season, he joined the American team, "Los Angeles Galaxy". However, after the departure of the coach who brought him to the club, Herzog's performance declined, and he soon left the team. At 35 years old, Herzog became the first Austrian in the history of MLS.
International Career
Throughout his career, Herzog represented the Austrian national team, including participating in two World Cups. He made his debut on June 6, 1988, in a match against Greece (2:2). Austria failed to advance past the group stage in the 1990 and 1998 tournaments. Herzog holds the record for the most appearances for the Austrian national team with 103 games. He played his final match for the national team on April 30, 2003, in a match against Sweden (1:1).
Coaching Career
Currently, Herzog is a budding coach. He assists Josef Hickersberger in coaching the Austrian national team, including during the 2008 European Championship hosted by Austria.
