Biography of Andreas Zeier Kappelen
Andreas Zeier Kappelen was a prominent Norwegian political figure and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway (1971-1972). He received his legal education and went on to serve in various prosecutorial positions in Stavanger from 1947 to 1957.
In 1957-1958 and 1966-1967, Kappelen held the position of Chief Financial Commissioner in Stavanger. He then served as Minister for Local Self-Government from 1958 to 1963. In 1963, with a brief interruption, and from 1963 to 1965, he served as the Minister of Finance of Norway.
From 1967 to 1969, Kappelen worked as a district judge in Stavanger, and from 1969 to 1981, he held the position of Chief District Judge in Stavanger. In addition to his judicial career, Kappelen also served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway from 1971 to 1972, and as Minister of Justice from 1979 to 1980.
Throughout his career, Andreas Zeier Kappelen made significant contributions to Norwegian politics and law. His expertise and experience in various governmental positions have greatly influenced the development and implementation of policies in Norway.
