Biography of Andrey Bakhmetev

Andrey Aleksandrovich Bakhmetev was born on May 18, 1960, in Moscow. He completed his schooling in 1977 and went on to enroll in the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, where he graduated in 1983 with a degree in electrical engineering.

However, Andrey did not pursue a career in engineering and instead continued working at the institute as a teacher until 1999. During this time, he also specialized in electronics, particularly precision analog-to-digital converters and digital-to-analog converters, as well as devices for their calibration. Andrey holds several copyright certificates from the USSR for his technical developments.

Since 1991, Andrey Bakhmetev has been serving as the art director at the company "Dodеka," which is involved in publishing, trading electronic components, advertising, and technical developments. He is responsible for the design and advertising of books, manages the company's website, and works as an editor and author. He is also known as a scriptwriter for the beloved children's film magazine "Eralash."

In 1992, Andrey started working on the television project "Poka vse doma" (While Everyone is at Home), a morning show that features unusual people and their peculiar actions. As part of the program, Andrey hosts a segment called "Och.umelye ruchki" (Skilled Hands), which serves as a practical and visual guide for those who enjoy and excel at crafting and giving new life to ordinary objects.

Since 2000, Andrey has been involved in promoting the brand "Spokoinoi nochi, malyshi!" (Good Night, Little Ones!). Under this project, toys, children's clothing, chocolates, and other children's merchandise are produced.

Andrey is currently co-writing the second book of "Och.umelye ruchki" along with Timur Kizyakov. Last year, he played a role in the creation of the electronic constructor "Znatok" (Connoisseur) and now aims to refresh the school curriculum using this constructor.

In addition, Andrey continues to write scripts for "Eralash" in case director Grachevsky decides to film something new. Andrey Bakhmetev is also dedicated to restoring Crimea's former glory as a unique health resort, not just with words but with action.

He is married and has two children, Ksenia (16 years old) and Dima (11 years old).
