Yuriy Vitrenko
Early Life and EducationYuriy Vitrenko was born in Ukraine and pursued his higher education abroad. He graduated from Georgia State University in the United States with a Bachelor of Science degree and later earned an MBA from Georgetown University.
International Business Experience
Vitrenko gained extensive international business experience in various roles. He worked in project management for IBM GlobalServices, Ford and Harrison LLP, and Eclipsys Corporation in Atlanta, Georgia. Subsequently, he held senior positions at AES, a global energy corporation, in Kazakhstan, Russia, the United Kingdom, Turkey, and Africa.
Return to Ukraine
In 2014, Vitrenko returned to Ukraine to join DTEK, one of the country's largest energy companies. He served as Director of DTEK Power Trade and later as Chief Commercial Officer of DTEK.
Leadership at Naftogaz
In 2021, Vitrenko was appointed CEO of Naftogaz Ukraine, the national natural gas company. He leveraged his previous experience in commercial development and international relations to lead the company through challenging energy markets and geopolitical tensions.
