Hockey Career

Soviet National Team

As a highly skilled forward, Sergei Stas started his hockey career with the prestigious Soviet national team. He represented the USSR in 35 games, scoring an impressive 13 goals.

Belarusian National Team

After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Stas switched allegiance to his home country, Belarus. He became an integral member of the Belarusian national team, competing in nine world championships between 1995 and 2003 and the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics. During his tenure with the team, Stas made 89 appearances, tallying 63 points (33 goals and 30 assists) and accumulating 127 penalty minutes.

Coaching Career

Following his successful playing career, Stas transitioned into coaching. He currently serves as the head coach of the Minsk Zubrs in the MHL. Under his guidance, the Zubrs have emerged as a competitive force in the league.
