Early Life and EducationTaras Zaodorozhnyi, a Ukrainian jurist and human rights activist, is a graduate of the Faculty of International Law at the Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He received his qualifications as a legal internationalist and an English language translator-interpreter.
Legal Career
Zaodorozhnyi has been an practicing lawyer since 1995. For over 20 years, he has served as the director of the law firm "Proxen".
Philanthropy
Beyond his legal practice, Zaodorozhnyi is also the director of the "Proxen" Charitable Foundation.
Political Journey
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, Zaodorozhnyi ran as a candidate for the "Servant of the People" party, holding the 119th position on the party list. At the time of his election, he was an unaffiliated party member residing in Kyiv.
Parliamentary Role
Currently, Zaodorozhnyi serves on the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ecological Policy and Natural Resources. He is also a member of the Ukrainian part of the interparliamentary assembly between the Parliament of Georgia, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
