In 2001, Gedgaudas made a move to Ukraine, joining FC Metalurh Donetsk. A year later, he transferred to FK Kaunas back in Lithuania. Under his leadership, Kaunas emerged victorious in the 2004 Lithuanian Championship. Gedgaudas' exceptional performance earned him the prestigious title of Player of the Tournament, surpassing Povilas Lukšys and teammate Mantas Savėnas in the Lithuanian Football Federation's poll.
International Appearances and European Explorations
Gedgaudas' talent extended beyond domestic competition. He represented Lithuania in the youth and U-21 teams before making his senior debut in 2003. During his tenure with the Lithuanian national team, he made 12 appearances and scored one memorable goal.
