Biography of Andy Newell

Andy Newell is an American skier who has competed in two Olympic Games and has been a podium finisher in World Cup races. He specializes in sprint races and made his World Cup debut in March 2006, where he achieved his first top three finish in a sprint race. To date, Newell has three podium finishes in World Cup races, all in sprint events. His best overall World Cup result came in the 2009-2010 season, where he finished in 19th place.

In the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Newell placed 13th in the team sprint event and 16th in the individual sprint event. In the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, he competed in three races, finishing 45th in the sprint, 9th in the team sprint, and 13th in the relay.

Throughout his career, Newell has participated in five World Championships, with his best result being a 5th place finish in the sprint event at the 2007 Championships in Sapporo, Japan. He uses skis from the company Fischer and boots and bindings from Salomon.
