Annette Norberg - Swedish Curling Champion
Annette Norberg is one of the most accomplished Swedish curlers and is considered one of the best in the sport. Her numerous victories at the international level highlight her skill and talent. Norberg has won 7 European Championships, 3 World Championships, and has been an Olympic champion twice.

Early Success
From the beginning of her career, Annette Norberg began achieving remarkable success in international tournaments. She consistently won one brilliant victory after another. She has won 7 European Curling Championships in 1988, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007, as well as three World Curling Championships in 2005, 2006, and 2011. In 2001, she took the silver at the Ford World Curling Championship and won bronze at the World Championships in 1988, 1989, 1991, and 2003. Throughout her career, Norberg primarily played as the skip, except for one tournament in 1988 when she played as the third player in Elisabeth Högström's team.

Olympic Success
One of Annette Norberg's most significant achievements is her Olympic gold medals in curling. In 2006, at the Turin Olympics, Norberg and her team brilliantly defeated the Swiss team in the final to win the title. Four years later, in Vancouver, Norberg's team successfully defended their championship title by defeating the Canadian team in the final. After parting ways with her Olympic team, Annette did not bid farewell to curling altogether. She formed a new team consisting of Cecilia Östlund, Sara Carlsson, and Liselotta Lennartsson.

Retirement and Personal Life
In April 2013, Annette Norberg announced her retirement from professional sports, thus giving up the opportunity to defend her championship title at the Sochi Olympics. She stated that her decision was carefully thought out, acknowledging that she no longer had the necessary energy and time to devote to the sport. In the same year, Norberg participated in the popular dance show "Let's Dance." In addition to curling, Annette Norberg is also known as a responsible actuary for Nordea, the largest financial group in Northern Europe. Currently, she heads a division of Folksam, one of the largest insurance companies in Sweden. Annette Norberg is married, and her son, Tobias Westman, is a well-known singer.
