Angelica Terliuga is a highly accomplished Ukrainian karateka who has made history in the sport.
Early Career
Born in Kherson, Ukraine, Angelica began her karate training at a young age. She quickly rose through the ranks, winning numerous national and international competitions.
Olympic Breakthroughs
In 2018, Angelica made history by becoming the first Ukrainian karateka to qualify for the Olympic Games. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won a silver medal in the women's 55 kg kumite event, becoming the first female Ukrainian to win an Olympic medal in karate.
European Dominance
Angelica Terliuga has been a dominant force in European karate. She is a three-time European champion in individual kumite (2017, 2018, 2019) and has also won two team kumite gold medals (2017, 2019). She is also the recipient of numerous Karate 1 Premier League and Karate 1 Series A medals, including 10 golds and 5 silvers.
