Early Life and Education

Anna Duritskaya was born on November 27, 1991, in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine, to humble parents. Her mother was a nurse, and her father was a blue-collar worker. Anna attended local school No. 3 and graduated in 2008. She then moved to Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, to pursue higher education at the Vadym Hetman National Economic University. Despite excelling in mathematics, Anna concurrently pursued a modeling career.

Modeling Career

In June 2012, Duritskaya joined the Kiev-based modeling agency "Amodels." With her striking features, 177 cm height, and impressive measurements of 88-63-89, she quickly rose to prominence as a photo model.

Personal Life

Prior to her relationship with Boris Nemtsov, Duritskaya's personal life was uneventful. She had brief infatuations during her youth but none that were significant. Duritskaya reportedly dated a photographer from Saint Petersburg who believed in her modeling potential and supported her ambitions.

Relationship with Boris Nemtsov

Anna Duritskaya and Boris Nemtsov reportedly met in 2011 at a social gathering. Their relationship quickly blossomed, marked by frequent visits to each other's residences in Kyiv and Moscow. The couple often vacationed abroad and were often seen enjoying each other's company.

Murder of Boris Nemtsov

On February 27, 2015, Boris Nemtsov was assassinated in central Moscow. Duritskaya, who was present during the killing, became the primary witness. Despite her traumatized state, she provided testimony to law enforcement and helped establish a timeline of events.

Investigation and Aftermath

Duritskaya recounted to investigators that she heard muffled shots and saw Nemtsov fall to the ground. She also witnessed a man in dark clothing fleeing towards a white car. The media frenzy surrounding Nemtsov's death resulted in unfounded speculations about Duritskaya's involvement. However, these allegations remain unsubstantiated to date.

Emotional State and Decision to Avoid Funeral

Anna Duritskaya opted not to attend Nemtsov's funeral on March 3, 2015, at Moscow's Troyekurovskoye Cemetery. She cited her emotional distress and desire to avoid public exposure as reasons for her absence.
