Biography of Anna Dymna
Anna Dymna is a Polish actress of theater and cinema, a writer, and a radio host. She was born on July 20, 1951 (some sources mistakenly state July 2) in the historic town of Legnica in Western Poland, to a family with Armenian roots. She graduated from the National School of Theater in Krakow.
In 1973, Anna got married for the first time and changed her surname from Dzyadyk to her husband's surname - Dymna. Throughout her career, Anna Dymna has played numerous leading roles, including the role of Margarita in the Polish adaptation of "Master and Margarita" (1989) directed by Maciej Wojtyszko, based on the novel by Mikhail Bulgakov.
Anna Dymna became particularly memorable and beloved to the Soviet audience for her role as Marysia Wilchur in the legendary film "The Witch Doctor" (1982), directed by Jerzy Hoffman, based on the novel by Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz.
Charitable Work
In addition to her acting career, Anna Dymna is actively involved in charitable activities. She is the founder of many charity initiatives and foundations. She assists refugees and conducts seminars and art therapy sessions for people with disabilities. In 2001, she organized the Festival of Music and Theater for the Disabled, which now takes place annually.
