Early Life and EducationAnnie Parisse, born Anne Marie Canselmi on July 31, 1975, spent her childhood on Mercer Island, Washington. She later attended the same high school as Stanley Ann Dunham, mother of former President Barack Obama. After graduating, Parisse pursued her education at Fordham University, where she showcased her talents in various stage productions, including leading roles in "Medea" and "Antigone."

Parisse's stage name, which she adopted from her great-grandmother and namesake Anna Maria Parisse, has become synonymous with her memorable performances on both the big and small screen. She shot to fame with her extended role as Alexandra Borgia in the acclaimed television series "Law & Order" from 2005 to 2006. Her other notable small-screen appearances include her portrayal of Julia Lindsy Snyder in the long-running soap opera "As the World Turns," for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 2001.
