Early Life and Education
Anthony Flanagan was born in Stockport, United Kingdom, and grew up in Cheshire. The actor's early life and family background remain shrouded in mystery. After graduating from Oldham Academy North, which specialized in performing arts, Flanagan attempted to pursue drama school but was unsuccessful.
Theatre Breakthrough
In the late 1990s, Flanagan returned to the north of England and enrolled at the Capitol Theatre School, part of Manchester Metropolitan University. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2000.
