Biography of Anthony Pratt
Anthony Joseph Pratt, an Australian businessman, is the chairman and CEO of Pratt Industries and the chairman of Visy Industries, the largest private paper and packaging company. He was born around 1961 to Richard and Jeanne Pratt and has two sisters, Heloise and Fiona. Pratt graduated from Monash University in Melbourne in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in economics with honors. Afterward, he joined the consulting firm McKinsey & Co before becoming one of the managing directors at Visy.

In 1988, Pratt became the deputy chairman of Pratt Industries and took over as chairman and CEO after his father's death in 2009. In 1991, he relocated to the United States to lead the expansion of his company in America. During this period, he oversaw the acquisition of several corrugated paper manufacturers, which now form the core of Pratt Industries. Under Pratt's leadership, the company's sales and profits increased sevenfold.

Currently, Pratt Industries, known as Visy in the United States, employs over 3,000 people in its factories and plants in the United States, while in Australia, the company has over 5,000 employees. When Pratt Industries moved to the United States in 1991, its revenue reached $100 million. By 2011, the revenue had reached $1 billion.

Pratt has been involved in various charitable organizations in Australia and the United States and has a keen interest in environmental issues. He is a member of the Climate Group, an international environmental group founded by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Pratt has received awards from Green Cross International, Global Green USA, and the Captain Planet Foundation for his efforts in promoting environmental causes.
Additionally, Pratt is a member of the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. In 1997, he married Alison Giske in New York, but the couple later divorced. As of 2011, it was announced that Pratt planned to return to Australia with his partner Claudine Revere and their two children, Leon and Lilly.
According to Forbes Asia, in 2012, Pratt was ranked as the seventh richest person among Australians.
