Early Life and Career

Ruslan Malinovskyi was born in Zaporizhia, Ukraine, and began his youth career with local club FC Metalurh Zaporizhzhia under the tutelage of coach Mykola Razdohubko.

Professional Debut and Domestic Success

Malinovskyi made his professional debut in 2002 for Metalurh-2 Zaporizhzhia in the Ukrainian Second League. In 2007, he earned his first appearance for the senior Metalurh team in the Ukrainian Premier League. Notably, his debut match saw him score a goal against his brother, Oleksiy, playing for Shakhtar Donetsk.

Transfer to Illichivets Mariupol

In 2009, Malinovskyi left Metalurh as a free agent and joined FC Illichivets Mariupol. He returned to Metalurh in 2010 after a brief spell at Illichivets.

International Career

Malinovskyi represented Ukraine at the under-17 and under-19 levels.
Personal Life

Ruslan's older brother, Oleksiy, is also a professional footballer, playing for Gabala FC in Azerbaijan and the Ukrainian national team.
