Birth and Early Service
- General Anton Lyudvigovich Gizettiwas born on 11th June, 1836.- Completed his education at the Odessa Richelieu Lyceum.
- Joined the service in 1855 as a non-commissioned officer in the Podolsk Infantry Regiment.
- Promoted to Ensign in 1858.
Military Career- Graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in 1863.
- Commissioned to the General Staff in 1865.
- Promoted to Captain in 1871.
- Appointed head of troop movement in the Vilna Military District.
- Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 1875.
- Served as senior clerk in the office of the troop movement committee from 1875 to 1882.
- Appointed acting chief of staff of the 39th Infantry Division in the Caucasus in 1882.
Service in the Caucasus
- Spent the remainder of his career serving in the Caucasus.- Held the final post of chief of staff of the local troops of the Caucasian Military District.
