Biography of Antonin Guigonnat
Antonin Guigonnat is a French biathlete who competes for the Villard-Boëge club. He made his international debut in 2011 at the Junior World Championships in Torsby, Sweden. In the individual race, he finished 39th, while in the sprint he came in 18th, in the pursuit he finished 12th, and in the relay, he won a silver medal alongside Florian Claude and Simon Desthieux.

Guigonnat made his IBU Cup debut in the 2010/2011 season at the final stage in Annecy, France. He finished 51st in the individual race, 43rd in the sprint, and 42nd in the pursuit. After a successful European Championships in 2015, where he won bronze in the sprint, Antonin made his World Cup debut in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic. In only his second race, he earned his first World Cup points by finishing 25th in the pursuit.
The 2015/2016 season was a mixed one for Guigonnat. He had some success as part of the main team in the World Cup, with his best result being 31st place in the pursuit in Ruhpolding. He also competed in the IBU Cup, where he won his first individual race, the sprint in Val Martello, Italy. In the 2016/2017 season, he focused on the IBU Cup and finished in 3rd place overall. He only competed in two races in the World Cup, with his best result being 32nd in the pursuit in Oberhof.
Guigonnat started the 2017/2018 season on the IBU Cup circuit. After winning two races at the second stage in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, he was called up to the main team. In his first race back in the World Cup in Annecy, France, he finished 3rd in the sprint. He once again made it to the podium at the Ruhpolding stage, finishing 3rd in the mass start.
