Early Life and Education

Born in Yerevan, Armenia, the Armenian Parliament member received his bachelor's degree in physical education from Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture from 1974 to 1979. Subsequently, he pursued a master's degree in pedagogy from the University of Tartu, Estonia, from 1979 to 1982.

Professional Career

As a highly skilled medical professional, he held various positions from 1982 to 1990, including pedagogue, methodologist, and coach. In 1987, he transitioned to the role of trauma methodologist.

National Independence Movement

In 1990, he joined the National Self-Determination Union (ANS), an organization dedicated to Armenian independence. He actively participated in the movement, contributing to the establishment of an independent Republic of Armenia.

Parliamentary Career

Following the first parliamentary elections in 1995, he was elected to the Parliament of Armenia, serving until 1999. As a member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security, and Internal Affairs, he played a significant role in shaping Armenia's national security policies. He was also a member of the United National Self-Determination party during this period.

Political Affiliations

After his parliamentary term, he joined the Republic Party of Armenia in 1999. As a member of the party's political council, he continued to contribute to Armenian political discourse and policy development.
