Born on December 21, 1976, in Athens, Greece, Aris Servetalis grew up in the affluent neighborhood of Koukaki. Despite not initially aspiring to act, his friends recognized his natural talent and encouraged him to pursue a formal education in theater.
Early Career
Servetalis enrolled at the Fotiadis Drama School in Athens, marking his entry into the theater world. He later transitioned to the silver screen, making his debut in 2001 with the comedy series "You Are My Friend." His breakout role as Lazarus earned him his first television award.
Film Career
In 2002, Servetalis made his big-screen debut in the film "Let's Go for Ouzo." He followed up with a notable performance in the series "Close Your Eyes" as Stefanos. His filmography expanded with "7 Deadly Mothers-in-Law," "Dog's Dream," and "Kinetta." Servetalis gained significant popularity with the television series "She Eida..." and "S1ngles."
In 2011, he achieved major critical acclaim for his lead role as a paramedic in Yorgos Lanthimos' "Alps." The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival, winning the "Osella for Best Screenplay."
Recent Projects
Servetalis starred as Renos in Steve Krikris' comedy "Waiter" (2018), alongside Chiara Gensini and Yannis Stankoglou. He also played Aris in Christos Nikou's allegorical comedy-drama "Apples" (2020), which was co-produced by Cate Blanchett.
